Shop Drawings

Shop drawings are threefold in their purpose. First, they show the owner, architect, and general contractor that the proposed product(s) and method(s) of installation are in compliance with the contract documents.Two, they assist the client in ordering material and fabricating the final product(s).Three, they guide the installation crews in the execution phase.

We provide shop drawings for aluminum curtain walls, storefronts, entrances, premanufactured windows, aluminum/composite panel systems, all glass systems, custom canopies, glass handrails, and aluminum sunshades.

We can draw any manufactures products and drawings can be any sheet size depending on client's request.

Premo Design, Inc. requires execution of our standard blanket contract for providing shop drawings. See here for sample contract.

Additional Services

  • Submittals

    In additon to our shop drawing service, we can assist in gathering other submittal information, such as product data sheets, test reports, installation instructions, sample warranties, and physical product samples.

  • Structural Calculations

    Premo Design, Inc. does not currently have a licesnsed engineer on staff, however we do have access to engineers who are licensed in various states. We prefer that our clients execute a contract directly with any engineer, but will usally include coordination with said engineer if required.

  • Material Ordering

    We can provide stock length takeoffs, complete order forms for any manufacturer or generate custom order forms/sheets.

  • Fabrication Drawings

    Fabrication drawings are an extension of the submittal phase and can sometimes be included with our other services. We can incorporate finalized field dimensions into the shop drawings and provide tagged drawings for ease and understanding in final fabrication as well as installation. Glass size calculations are also included with this service.

  • Field Mesuring, Inspection, & Final Field Dimensioning

    Depending on the size and scope of the project, Premo Design, Inc. will assist our clients in actual field measuring, inspection, and final dimensioning/detailing of the shop drawings.

  • Consulting

    At Premo Design Inc. we can assist owners, architects, general contractors, and envelope contractors in product selection, detailing, and submittal review. We can also provide custom designs based on client needs and requests.
